Marissa Carlson

Marissa serves as the music leader at SCBC. She has been at SCBC since September 2023. Marissa is currently a doctoral student at Manhattan School of Music and works as a Curtis Institute Fellow at the Juilliard School. She has served as a church musician in multiple areas over the last 15 years and finds great joy in creating a welcoming worship atmosphere. Her goal as a worship leader is to create a space for people of all walks of life through a balance of contemporary and traditional music. Outside of music, Marissa enjoys spending time hiking, reading, snowshoeing, and spending time with friends and family.
