Youth Group
Under the leadership of MaryEllen Barbieri, Director of Family Ministries, and the rest of the leadership team, the youth are challenged to live their lives as Ambassadors for Christ. A strong relationship with Jesus is essential to this endeavor so it is a priority to get to know Him more through study of the Word and learning to see Him in our lives every day.
The goal of our Youth Ministry is to develop youth of character who have a good understanding of the values outlined in God’s Word, can withstand peer pressure when tempted to go against their values and be encouraging leaders for others. By incorporating a combination of spiritual activities, community building activities, and service activities they help affirm that youth are a vital part of the body of Christ.
Youth Bible Education:
Sunday morning Bible study is from 9:30AM-10:15AM. The Middle School class meets on the third floor of the Education wing and the High School class meets in the first floor library. In class, they learn to worship, to pray, and how to study the scriptures and make sense of some scriptures which may seem dated and obsolete in the modern world.
Middle School Youth Fellowship is for grades 6-8 and the Senior High Youth Fellowship is for grades 9-12. The Middle School group meets two Thursday nights per month and the High School meets for special events.
By incorporating a combination of spiritual activities, community building activities, and service activities they help affirm that youth are a vital part of the body of Christ.
